Hi,

From the information you have provided it suggests that there is a driver issue.

I would suggest that you update the windows system to SP2 plus any others that come through. Also update the drivers for your hardware.

thanks thats true and i am about to do it. but i want to solve the problems first because hp advises to solve all the errors before updating to service pack too. and on the way now 'hp mediasmart is not working suddenly, i reinstalled the drivers and ran 'hp suport assistant' too.
"shall i install service pack too and "how do i update the drivers"".I mean manually running the downloaded drivers or from the automated recovery partition or froom the device manager?.

This is how you find driver
How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver

It will take time to do correctly. Go to search type cmd, then right click and run as administrator
In cmd type driverquery. All drivers older than 2008, should be updated.
You will have updated drivers, but I do not know if that will solve the problem. I hope it does, however.

With so many old drivers. Use this procedure. Its better than nothing. You can use the longer procedure for the more important drivers.

Hi,

Use the HP update service for you main system drivers in Programs. Once they are updated use Windows update for the rest (System).

Please do not install any drivers from Microsoft update for your system.

Generally they do not work & cause issues i.e The system says it is fully updated & working but does'nt.

Some of these are easy.
All the Microsoft drivers, forget about for now.
Others show names. ie Brothers. Is this your printer or Scanner etc?
I see Intel
I see blue tooth.
With the big names, just go to the website download page. They usually have a serivice, that they will look for any drivers that they can update. Use that method. Its easy, but will take a bit of time. Its not as bad as it looks.

Hi aspen,

I wonder if you could do me a favor? Could you please edit your first post and before each separate driver hit enter twice so they will all be separated from each other and easier to see where one ends and the next begins. I'm having a hard time figuring out the break points - and this would help identify each specific driver and possibly then we can assist you in locating the updates.

It would also help to know the manufacturer, make, and specific and complete model of anything you added that didn't come initially with the computer (like the Brother device and anything else that may apply).

sorry actually i didn't know how to reply now i am doing ok i guess
well to the issue
hp update says mine is upto date but 'hp mediasmart program' is not working
so i am redownloading the program from a 'hp forum' link and
the
just now i checked 'problem reports and errors'
and 'windows search filter stoped working' error 'the view detai' was un available
"windows cant display the problem details because the report is changed or deleted" and that problem report cannot be send.
what problem is here any idea

You seem to have a lot of problems. Try this run three times if errors are found. If you do have errors that cannot be fixed, send us the cbs log.
