Problems forwarding email to outlook 2010

I am unable to forward my sky.com email account to outlook 2010. I have followed all on screen instructions that I can find but nothing seems to work. Outlook can't find the sky server or send a test email. I have in the past set it up to forward to outlook 2003 on XP so I know it's possible. Has anyone else had this problem? In much need of help to solve this problem.

Are these the instructions that you followed?
Be sure that all the port numbers are correct and you follow the instructions for PPP3 or SMPT as applicable.

Thanks Richard but I have followed those instructions for both IMAP and POP3 but it keeps reporting the following errors when I click on the test button:

1 - Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

2 - Send test e-mail message: Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.

As soon as I click on the button it asks me to check my user name and password to log in to sky but keeps looping whenever I click on OK. All the information is correct and have retyped the information.

Any other suggestions?

Do you have another computer that works with OUtlook, to test that the server is up and running?
