problem with videos

I have some problem while watching videos . They appear as pixels and they are also choppy . I have a good graphics card 512 MB ATI Radeon , vista basic 32-bit and my laptop is compaq pavilion 1203-ax
the video is good and can be viewed properly in comps with lesser configs.
. Can somebody help me with this

When installing it choose Profile 7 : Lots of stuff That will install a huge list of codecs along with media player classic. Once installed play the video in media player classic and tell us if the problem still exists.

If it still happens in media player classic then its not a codec issue. The next step is to update all your drivers from here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us〈=en&product=3864528 then reboot your laptop.

You should also click the link in my signature and start at step 2 and do all the following steps. After doing all that you've updated all your drivers, installed more codecs, checked for ram errors etc. You should have a better running laptop and be able to play the files.
