Problem With The "Search" Bar- Really strange One

Hey again. I am having a problem with Google Search. it has been this way ever since I got this new computer back in April. It does not do this on any "Search" but Google.

I have Google as my home page. When ever I type something into the "Search" bar and click on search , it goes as it is suppose to , to the search results. If i go back to Google search and remove the former Search item and replace it with a NEW search term and hit search , it goes nowhere. it will not move. i have to X out of the Browser and then open up a new browser and then type in the term and it will go. This is strange as it does it on Google only. the Google toolbar will do the same thing. It really is annoying to have to x out of the browser and open another one for a different search term. I have never had a problem like this before.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem here / And How to fix it ?

thanks

It does this whether or not I have the Google Toolbar. It does it on Google's Home page search bar without a toobar installed. Yes I did uninstall the toolbar but it makes no difference. It does it anyway , with or without a Google toolbar installed. It is the Google " Search" , There seems to be a glitz in it or else it is this computer. I never had this problem before I got this 64bit computer.

What internet browser are you using? And have you tried to simply refresh the page instead of closing the browser and reopening it?

It is really strange. I just may as well give up on this and learn to either live with it or change my search to something other than Google.
