Solved Problem with start menu

Hey everyone.
I recently changed the resolution of my screen from 1024x768 to 1440x900 and the start menu is cut off a little, where the arrow is cut off

As you can see, next to the lock the arrow is not there, it is cut off and when I change it to other resolutions it is the same thing, how do i fix this?

I can't check right now (not in windows), but I'm guessing you should be able to reset the settings for the start menu when you go into it's options. Try that.

I think changing to an awkward resolution screwed it up.

The arrow is actually still there, but it has been distored and not seen by having a incorrect screen resolution. Normally it's best to use the native resolution for your monitor for the best results, but you can just try different screen resolutions until you find one that displays properly if you like instead.

Not quite.... I spent 4 hours trying to get Fedora 10 to use my wireless card, which all versions of Linux seem to hate and will never recognize... So I spent 3 hours updating, another two researching and talking on forums, and have nothing to show for it but a headache and a realization that if you don't grow up learning something it is a pain in the ass to learn it, especially if it is as different and Linux and Vista......:sa:

On your screen resolution page it says that a 19" widescreen should be 1440x900, I have a 19" widescreen monitor.

Not necessarily. There should be a native res for your monitor, set it to that. If it still occurs, see if you can widen the start menu.

I did every single one and the arrow was still not there. 1440x900 looks the best to me but it annoys me that the arrow isn't there.

Yes! Thanks, I had it at a custom 100 then I changed it back to the default 96 and everything worked. Thanks again!
