problem with esbser.sys

I am trying to download a new tune onto a module I purchased for my pickup truck. Every time I try to setup the hard ware, I get a dialog box that says "could not find a part of the path C:\windows\driver~1\usbser.sys Is there anything that I can do?

Hi, fsu123187, and welcome to the forums (Be glad, too, as I am a GA Tech fan....)

Does it allow you to change the path? If you, replace driver~1 with system32\drivers or SysWOW64\drivers and see if that makes a difference (remember just replace the word drivers - leave C:\windows and usbser.sys alone).

the link for the download installation manual, says if you have problems to use system32, but how would i go about changing it?

knowing the module so we can look at it would help - right now I am not even 100% sure what you are trying to do other than copy a file onto some gadget you have...
