Hi every one
please can i have help i have installed a printer from my main pc which uses xp pro to my new vista lap top ----- it shows the icon for the printer in the tray but i cannot still print any thing HELP PLEASE

Did you install the proper Vista drivers? What error are you getting? Post the error?

Hi No Erro Message And I Got The Driver From The Epson Site

Is the printer online or offline? Is it USB or parallel? If USB, unplug it and plug it back in. See if it reinstalls. Make sure the printer is on.

Hi i installed it by downloading the driver and then using a virtual port on my laptop.

installed driver
proced without connecting the printer
opened the printer in control panel
right click printer went to port tab
clicked add port
select local port then clicked new port
i then put in
usb virtual port epson stylus d78 click ok

Remove the printer from printer folder with printer off. Turn printer on. it should install the drivers with correct port.

I think the printer is physically attache to another computer - in which case it needs to be shared out from the XP computer so that the Vista computer can see it.
