i have a printer on my old windows xp computer. but i went to hook it up to my vista, obviously the printer is not compatible which sucks. so is there a way i can connect it through a network?

frankly i have no idea where to start or what to do first, so can someone like take a bit of time to try and explain and help me out with this

You can hook it up to a machine (either) and in the device share it. It should show up a device on the network. Have you tried this before?

no im not really sure what you mean by that. like i said im pretty lost about all of this. i think if i had 2 vista computers i could do it, but the xp's control panel and interface is way too different, in the sense that the vista pretty much show you pictures while the xp is all words and typing, like entering a path for the device and all that, vista it seems more automated
