This problem has persisted for a year now so we will see what you guys think...I know when installing new vid card drivers I always have to reset my power settings (when monitor cuts off,PC goes to sleep, etc) but it happens alot in between vid card driver updates and I can always tell they need to be reset because when resuming from sleep mode it goes to the user account password screen. I don't have my PC set up to use a password since I am the only user and this is an option in the advanced power setting under each power scheme.
Another thing it does is it defaults all my windows to small windows that need to be expanded, normally they save after you resize and close them. My control panel icon will resize also to large when I have them set at medium. It's like the whole system just resets all these things for no reason after sleep mode. Any ideas?
