Porting XP programs to Vista?

Howdy! I have a dual boot with XP and Vista Home Basic x64. With XP being discontinued I want to install Vista as my only OS. I've never been an XP fan (98/Vista fan here :)) but I use it because it has the only thing I miss from XP -- the Windows Address Book program. I just love that program for saving my contact data. Vista has similar thing - the Contacts folder and it even supports contact pictures, but I still find the Windows Address Book better to use. Is there a way to port that app to Vista? Do you think it would be possible? Copying the Outlook Express folder from XP to Vista does nothing. Is the WAB program part of Outlook Express? I want to port the app, I'm not talking about importing my contacts as I've already done that. I've seen the Vista movie maker ported to Win 7 but is it possible to port some XP programs to Vista? I tried looking for Address Book clones, but nothing comes close.

Vista has Windows Mail which is basically Outlook Express's final version. It has an Import function where you can import all your contacts.

Forget that eHow link - you cannot run OE in Vista. Unless you prefer Windows Live Mail.
