Pop up help

I bought my Vista PC this year and am having trouble with the pop up blocker. I'm an online gamer, the games use a lot of applets, and so I have specifically allowed certain sites what amounts to unlimited access as well as turned off my pop up blocker. Problem being, it still tries to block sites. Help! Oh yes, and if anyone can point me to the correct forum for Office suite 2003 help as it associates with a Vista OS I'd appreciate it.

Hi, Cjennmom, and welcome to the forums.

1) If you turned off a popup blocker, it should not be blocking popups - what browser are you using? What steps did you use to turn off the popup blocker?

2) Microsoft Office - Vista Forums would be a good place for Office questions. Oh, and BTW - ***THANK YOU!*** for asking instead of just posting your question. More users need to be like you. You get reputation points for being a good newbie :P

I'm using IE 7 and have turned off every type of pop up setting that can be found in the internet options - turned *off only after my "allow sites" list had shown it failed to work and allow the applets. Specifically, I'm talking about pogo.com. Thanks for the tip on the other forum.

Pogo - hmmm - I do not recall having many problems with Pogo with default IE settings- are you using any additional toolbars for IE 7 that might be interfering? Google toolbar, for example, has a popup blocker....

Lord, that toolbar is full of so many bits and pieces I'm not sure of everything its got. I went into every type of application I could find of it though to deal with every one that could be found. How well do these forums take screen shots? I could show you if I knew if this would take it.

Easily - and see Windows Vista Help: Use Snipping Tool to capture screen shots if you haven't played around with the snipping tool yet.
