I have an HP Pavilion DV9000 (DV9925nr) with a GeForce 7150m/nForce 630m video card. Vid Bios: 5.67.32.16.17 running 179.91. 4 gigs ram.
My Problem is probably easy but I must be to dumb to figure it out.
This has happened before but one day it just fixed itself. Do not know how but now the problem is back... Here it is.
All video looks good until I try to go to "Full Screen" Then the screen shrinks to about 75% and looks all black & white. Very little color if any and It looks like every other vertical line is missing. As soon as I go back to a windowed video ... everything is fine and looks GREAT! I know this seems like a stupid problem but if you are trying to watch a movie on a 17" wide screen and you can only watch in a window 3"x 4" it gets frustrating!
If you could help I really would apprec. it !!
Thank you !
Shawn
Wanted to add...
I have updated all drivers and checked and updated JAVA (do not know if that would help buy did.... by the way my laptop also has a Turion 64 AMD Dual Proc.
Do you know when this problem began (this time - I don't mean originally ages ago)? Try a System Restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem began. Here's the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html. Be sure to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two (it may have started some time before you noticed). NOTE: You will have to re-install any software and updates you installed and uninstall any software you removed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for the updates.
