Pioneer DVD-RW (DVR-111) in Vista

Has anybody use Pioneer DVD-RW (DVR-111) or Lite-On DVD-RW in Windows Vista Ultimate before?

I'm having serious problem. The device is working perfectly well on Windows XP, but it doesn't work on Vista.

Every time I insert a CD/DVD in it, the device become busy but the OS suddenly does not respond to any input (mouse+keyboard). But after I take out the CD/DVD from the DVD-RW device, the OS suddenly become normal again. The funny thing is that the device is detected normally by the OS and the driver is already up to date (or so it seems to be). Every time I tried to update the driver, Vista always reported that it already used the latest version. This thing happen to both Pioneer DVD-RW and Lite-On DVD-RW.

I tried searching for help from the Microsoft website, but there was no luck. I tried to find the UpperFilters and LowerFilters entry in the registry as suggested by article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929461 but they don't exist. I don't use any CD/DVD burner program (such as Nero or any other program) too.

Oddly, when I use another DVD-ROM, it works perfectly fine in Vista. This is weird! The DVD-RW in my laptop works perfectly fine as well. I use DELL inspiron 1420 with Windows Vista in it. In the device manager, it shows PBDS DVD +-RW DS-8W1P ATA Device. Why does it work with that DVD-RW and not with Pioneer or Lite-On DVD-RW? Is Vista incompatible with any DVD-RW in PC?
