Hi,
My operating system, Vista Ultimate x64, detects my web-cam [Philiphs 900NC] always as a flash disk. I mean it always shows me "safely remove hardware", which is my web-cam, icon in taskbar . I don't want to see that icon in my taskbar:confused: How can I solve this problem?

The "Safely Remove Hardware" option is there to allow you to shut down a device correctly prior to removing it. It ensures that no programs are currently using it, and that any associated services are properly closed.

If you have no intention of removing the webcam, then just ignore the "Safely Remove Hardware" option for it. Otherwise, if you do use it, you'll want the SRH option so that you don't just "unplug" the camera without warning, which could lead to further problems with whatever programs may be using it at the time.

Thank you for your reply. Anyway it is not a big problem:p I will leave it there. But when I was using XP, it was not detecting my web-cam like that. Maybe because of the difference btw drivers of the web-cam in XP and in Vista:sarc:

Vista is far more "strict" regarding drivers, which in turn translates to better system stability...
