I have Vista Home Premium and it is a Dell brand. I'm trying to restore the factory image to my pc so it would be like brand new. I found a PCRestore application in the recovery disk. But every time I try to reformat with it, it would say error and stop loading. :sa: Anything I can do about it?

Hi bigdaddy2142,

Welcome to the forum. Dell DVD is similar to the Retail version.
Boot from DVD and follow this Article How to install Windows Vista Just follow Method 2 (You have to re-install third party application and drivers for your hardware devices)

Just to follow up on Prasath's post, here is a tutorial with screenshots - you will find installing with the Dell dvd is almost identical.

You won't get the bit about entering the product key as Dell have already included that on your dvd.
