Solved Page File On Shutdown

Ok Guys i experience slow shutdowns after playing games(30 Seconds +),this leads me believe the pagefile is causing my slow shutdown as its being deleted on shutdown however i know how to disable it ,but my question is if i disable it when will it ever be deleted or does it matter

PS i already changed waittokillservice in registry and it doesnt make a difference after playing games

Hi Will,

The clearing of the pagefile at shutdown is disabled bu default in Vista. Unless you have manually enabled this option, then this is not the issue you are having.

Does this happen all the time, or just after any specific games?

Thx Brink For Reply,i noticed the page file delete on shut down was off by default a few minutes after i posted and i think the problem is fixed now becuase i lowered the waittokillservice to 1000 and wait a few second before shutting down ,and the shutdown seems faster. Your welcome Will. I'm happy to hear that it seems to be shutting down fine now. Another option for you if you like is this Shutdown shortcut. It forces a instant shutdown when used.
