Outlook not sending

Hi Im running Microsoft Outlook 2003 on Vista with a compaq presario V2000. I keep getting this same error message when i try to send an e-mail.

sending reported error (0x800CCC7D) : your outgoing (smtp) server dose not support an SSL connection, if it worked in the past contact you administrator/ internet service provider

please give me some help!

What that ususally means is that your email provider is having a problem with the server. Check it out at the email website.

If you cannot find anything, probably by the end of tomorrow you will be ok.

i thought that that might be the case, so i checked my email provider's site to see if i could still send e-mail through them, and i could, so the problem lies somewhere in outlook.

I had situations where I could send via website, but not with my email client. For now, that is all that I can suggest. Others may come along with other suggestions.

You can recheck all of your settings ports, ssl connection etc and make sure they agree to the website instructions. Sometimes settings change for no apparenat reason; either at the website or in the puter.
