opening .pps ffiles

I cannot open .pps files within my email. {says no program associated with this file to perform] I have gone to default programs file anf it is set properly. If I save the .pps file to another folder I am able to open it. Any suggestions?

Hard to answer without your telling us what kind of email program you use.

And what kind of program are you trying to use as default for .pps files?

Then your solution is simple... Do the following:

1. In Vista, click the "orb" "windows circle" bottom left of your screen.

2. Click "Default Programs"

3. Click "Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program"

4. Find the extension ".pps" in your file types.

5. Highlight .pps, then click "change program"

6.. Browse and selcect "powerpoint".

Now you should be set to open .pps files in your Vista mail.

As I said in the original, I can't open .pps files within email. I have to save them in another folder to open. I have done what you suggested many times previously to my first inquirery. Any more suggestions?
