Hi

I´ve Vista Home Premium x64 and a geforce 8800 GTS 640 MB. My problem is that i can´t use any nvidia driver without to crash down the System. it started with the newly instalation of vista. i had updated my drivers and after some minutes there was a graphic failure, like green lines from top to the bottom. i deleted all drivers and installed the first ones who were with the GPU included. i tried every one on the nvidia site but its the same . do you know if there is any problem with my gpu and x64 bit or something else?

please HELP!!! fast

sierra:)

Hi sierra try this site and click on the region you are in, then accept the agreement and download.

Windows Vista 64-bit

If you still have problems remove your graphics card and all graphics drivers. reboot and then re-install your graphics card.

It sounds like your Graphics Card is biting the durst - you might be able to salvage it, but those green lines are usually an indication of a heat related breakdown, IIRC.

If you have a local shop, have them test the card - or if you have access to another computer, test the card in there (make sure it already has an nVidia card, because you don't want the hassle of uninstalling ATI drivers, installing yours, then uninstalling yours and finally reinstalling the ATI drivers - that is simply too much of a headache to take.

Log in as the administrator. Add/remove the drivers. Use a driver cleaner. Reinstall new drivers.
