The decision to go with a 64-bit version of Vista over its 32-bit counterpart remains a dubious one, but not so as far as netbook vendors are concerned. Most new laptops are now shipping with a 64-bit OS. Take Best Buy's newest shipment of HP laptops, for example, who shows 11 models listed as "new arrivals." All but three come with Vista 64-bit, with the remaining models sporting Windows Vista Business downgraded to XP Pro, also in 64-bit form.

The time has come today.I watched and listened the Pro and Con debates on 64 bit and

even Vista for much too long, but have been using both for several months and now

really have no need to power on my 32 bit XP Pro.:)

The Future Is Now.

Something I noticed recently that most others including news sites have neglected to mention is Microsoft has given 32bit 10 last years of support...Microsoft has declared Windows 7 the last 32bit OS they will develop so if you factor in 5 or 6 years support you get about 10 years left for 32bit :geek:

I hope it dies quicker but their is still some huge bugs and broken features in Microsofts VisualStudio and Windows SDKs for 64bit applications that needs to be addressed ASAP
