From one issue to another lol!

I have a Western Digital Passport (120). Never had any problems accessing until today. The "safe to remove" icon recognizes it. The Task Manager has picked it up once, but wouldn't access it when I double-clicked. Not on My Computer at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. I have tried two other USB cables. I have tried all three USB ports. It lights up. I can feel it spin. But nothing. Nothing.... nothing but 4yrs of photos, 700 mp3s and my entire undergraduate career lost lol!

Suggestions?

Go into Device Manager and see what's up with possible hardware conflicts. Do you see anything in your list of devices with a yellow sign with an exclamation point next to it? If there are conflicts, you have to find a fix and I can help you with that.

If there are no conflicts then uninstall the WD drivers, go to this website to get new ones, and install those for your particular model and operating system.

Thank you so much for the site. I will check it out as soon as I leave here!

It does show up in my device manager, but there isn't a yellow or red exclamation.
