not able to access my C: drive

Hi

Need your help. Yesterday evening i was working on my system and was changing the security setting of one of application, but after doing that....

I am not able to access my C: drive, my whole data is in C drive.

Need urgent help to fix this issue.

Welcome to Vista Forums!

The easy answer is, undo the security setting and see if that 'fixes' the problem.

Hi

I have open one folder in c drive, click on security tab>than chose the guest access>uncheck the edit and read access.

It show me one message, by doing this, it will reduced the security on your local drive.... and i click yes.

after that i am getting this error that i am not able to access my C drive.

I have two acccont on my systme :-1) Guest,2)administrator.

Can you take ownership of C:? In the security tab under advanced, owner. Take ownership with your user.

Enable your administrator account. Set a password on it. Boot up using it instead. ctrl-alt-del x 2 should bring you a login box.
