Norton Software installing itself

Hi,


This has just happened for 2 weeks now, I have been randomly seeing a Norton Security Shortcut on my desktop and I dont recall any installations regarding any security software. So uninstalled and restarted, and after a few minutes it still happpend... this goes on and on and on.. I did a search and both "norton" and "symantec", deleted every file (although some said the file location doesn exist so i let it go), removed symantec live update from my computer. even went to the registry and deleted symantec from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER (but i didnt know how to back up my registry). and still no luck

I use trendmicro as my security

I need help on this please.

You didn't happen to install or update Shockwave did you? If so,

would be one place where the Norton junk came from.

Yes I did install it but I also uninstalled it just too do trial and error if that was cause of the auto-installation. Its still there though D:

Try running the Norton Removal Tool. Then clean all your temp files with CCleaner.
