help please, got a new hp with vista home 64bit. want to back up some of my movies but can't get it to work, use to use windows xp with windows media player 1clickcopypro and DVD43. now keep getting message saying this is not compatible with this computer. Could someone please let me know what i should be using to back up my movies? Thank you for any help you can give me, or at least let me know if I am posting this in the wrong place in the forums.

I'm not familiar with those programs. I would recommend these sites:

VideoHelp.com - Forum, Guides, Tools and hardware lists

AfterDawn.com: Forums

The good thing about the videohelp site is they host many programs that are no longer developed and hard to find anywhere else.. such as DVD Decrypter, RipIt4Me,
DVD Shrink etc.. Also they host many old versions of video software. Sometimes the latest version doesn't work well on your PC but an earlier version does.

AFA the particular programs, have you tried installing and/or running them in XP compatibility mode?? I run quite a few video related softwares on Vista64 and really haven't run into any issues. DVD Flick, FAVC, DVD Shrink, AutoGK all work fine.

The other thing that may be helpful is try installing Shark's Vista Codec Pack and 64 bit utilities. I know you can download it from the Download section of AfterDawn(or just google)
