New PSU..

Hey guys,

I'm pretty sick of the fact that I can't add anything else to my rig because my PSU is such sh*t. The 350 W just isn't enough anymore. Now I want to buy a new one and so far I've found two possibilities: first: PC power and cooling silencer 610, second (cheaper): corsair 650W. But I have to stay beneath €100 which is ... $160, but since everything is cheaper in America, let's say $140 max... If you have any suggestions on other PSU's or comments on these two, please share..

Yeah I know, wish I lived in America, but I live in Europe and here theyre €100, which is my max budget... And if I get good reps on the Corsair, its only €75 and 40 more Watts...

try looking at the thermaltake toughpower series. I ditched my corsair 520w in favour of the thermaltake 750w modular psu. The modular cables themselves are a lot easier to manage in my opinion, also wastes less energy so it doesnt produce slightly as much heat.

ouch.... €100 for a GOOD PSU in europe is going to be really touch. I paid €115 for a good 600W PSU. BUT I did have to forego the known brandname. Well, at least to me. I finally decided on the Recom Power Engine 600CF. It's been really good for me so far. The advantages are that it's modular. Also, I like the fact that it has an actual usage mater on the back. It tells you what is actually in use at that exact time through a series of LEDs. (surprisingly, for me, usually that's around 100 W when just browsing the web....)

You should really just check the webshops in Belgium and Germany to see which PSU's are available. (you did know that the German webshops are usually a bit cheaper than the rest of the european ones, right?) and maybe just have one sent over from there.
If you don't mind getting one sent over from the Netherlands, you should check the pricewatch on Tweakers.net - 1.379 pageviews per minuut! It will tell you where to get the PSU you've decided on for the lowest possible price.

Oh, I've just noticed that they also have belgian shops on there!!!

Yes,

I had thought of them already, but because they weren't there on ALTERNATE. Hardware - Software - Entertainment , I'd forgotten about coolermaster. It's just because I heard so many good things about pc power and cooling that I was focusing on those. I'll try and find a good store. Thanks!
