New graphics card for my boss.

Hi guys, I've built a pc for my boss, Q9550- 8GB ddr3 Ram, asus motherboard (1xPCI-E x16 lane) coolermaster case, 1TB hard drive, the works. a budget pc cost him less than 800USD. - we might have to upgrade the psu as well

At the moment he has like an ATI 3530 or something ridiculous - it cost $45 at the time and the plan was to upgrade later - a client needed to test new software on a dedicated server.
I have a problem, after seeing the graphics quality for games on my pc at full HD, he wants to have similar graphics (maybe not as good) for about $300US.

Recommendations guys; something that will play some of the newest games at decent framerates at 1920x1080 in that price range. (games such as farcry 2, wolfenstein, COD6, Crysis - and other games)

Is it the bosses work rig rig, or home rig?

Good luck with finding a 5850 though. If you do, it's probably going to cost $$$

If he's not fussed about a DX11 card, just grab him a 4890.

Yeah, here at work (what Im doing at the moment) we like to blend in with a bit of work/play - for about a week I was doing all the support and visiting clients while he was playing farcry 2 at very high settings, 1920x1200 res. At the moment one of our clients is using it as a terminal server to test new software - but he'll be getting it back soon, so I was going to give him some recommendations on what to get.

MSY - they are just as good in QLD (depending on the store - just like NSW)

PCDIY - I've never used them, but I hear good things about them.

Fluidtek - The boss removed representatives from whirlpoolforums due to idiots. Smart move.

Umart is literally 50m away from where I live, bought all my parts for my pc in system specs from there (except for the monitors), they've gotten a bit more expensive, since they changed to IJK this year.
