I wasn't sure where to place this so I felt it would be safe in the general Forum I've just recently updated an old seven year old Dell dimension 4550 to a Dell Studio XPS 435MT with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 920 processor, 640G HDD and 6mb memory. It's far and away areal humdinger over my old system. I was concerned Vista 64-bit wouldn't handle my post processing software(Capture NX2) but in actuality, it's 100% better than I imagined and much faster. The old computer with 2G of memory took an astonishing 2-4 minutes to save or "save as" a digital photo whereby this machine takes but a few seconds.
I'm most happy with this set up but, getting use to Vista is a different matter. One question I'd like to ask is what's the significance of the Catalyst Control Center? That's altogether new to me.
