Hey guys
I'm new here. So if this is in the wrong section, please forgive me

Right now I have a laptop;Advent 5421 review from TechRadar UK's expert reviews of Laptops and netbooks
It really is not doing me very well, and I want to get a new pc.

I want a desktop pc, not a laptop
and i would not like an expensive one-but i would like it to be upgradeable, so when my nees grow my computer can grow with it

So if anyone has any suggestions on what i could get it would be much appreciated!

Not really sure what to suggest here as you are a bit vague in your first post and reply.

What are you going to use it for?

If for browsing the internet and chatting with friends on Live, etc, etc, go to best buy a get yourself a 600 to 1000 dollar desktop... you'll need nothing more. Repeat the process every couple of years.

If you are into heavy gaming and/or Online Gaming, the best bet is to learn how to build your own rig (or find a friend who can help you put it together), otherwise, you'll pay up your eye balls and you will not have what you expect.

As an Example, the best Dell Gaming computer goes for about 3500 to 4000 if I am not mistaken. You can build a similar rig (if not even better) for 2000 or less. This also includes a monitor, keyboard, mouse, the works.

All you need to do is find the places where to buy your components, etc, etc and we can help you with that.

Now, if you want to buy an already built one, check out Dell, Gateway, HP or Alienware

hm. there is the option of something like a systemmax or cybertron gaming system.... they are prebuilt and good for upgradeing

You could save at least £100-200 by building your own , there are many instructions all over the net and it's very easy.
You can buy almost everything from cclonline.com(Yorkshire based) they are prompt and helpful,prices are reasonable.
For your memory, Crucial.com or play.com.
Make an estimated cost and compare that with the similar spec PC at your local store(I use comet) but try avoiding the place where you bought Advent,they are expensive for cheap unreliable products.
