i've just put everything together and i'm looking to put a bios on it, currently its running straight from the graphics card.

When i try to install windows vista x64 it won't recognise my hard driver which is on sata 2.

I'll be completely honest its been a few years since i built one of these and getting it all to recognise the sata hard drive is proving difficult and very frustrating.

Some more information, please. What is the make and model of your motherboard? Is it actually 64-bit compatible? It sounds as though you need to provide the SATA driver during setup. If you post the requested information, I (or someone else) might be able to help you.
