I am having a problem with a vista computer of mine.
A couple of months ago my motherboard went out so i put in a replacement I had and sent the new one off for repair. one Was AMd ( new one ) and one was nvidia. well once i installed drivers for nvidia my driver file got corrupt so I had to reinstall vista luckily I have Drive C: Vista D:random Storage E: Server ( web and email) G: Programs F: backups, movie, music so i didn't lose any games once I reinstalled.
After Reinstall my sharing nolonger worked but i figured it was a nvidia driver problem. I got my new mothboard back and after uninstalling nvidia drivers and re installing AMD drivers I still had no sharing. After checking my Shared files it says i have none even though my printer, and drives e-f are shared. If i try and connect by typing \\Main from any computer including the computer itself it tells me unable to connect but if i type //Main it takes me to the web server I host so I can ping the server but it seems file sharing is broken
without firewall problem still exsist.
