I'm on a Dell Ispirion E1505 laptop running Vista Home Premium.
I normally connect to the Internet via my unsecured home wifi router. Never had any problem here, but as soon as I downloaded Vista's new SP1, the little icon in the taskbar below keeps showing that little red cross indicating that there is no connection.
The truth is that I do have a connection except that it is not viable in the network icon.
I have tried all the methods to switch on the "Network Visability" on as suggested here on various other threads, however Vista does not allow me (despite being the only user/administarater) to turn it on.
In a nutshell:
One minute everything's OK :D and after downloading Vista SP1, Network Visability simply won't turn on !!
Any ideas ?
Thanks folks
Alex
