Ok, so on my desktop with vista ultimate 64, i can not write files to network folders. I can copy from and read files from network folders just fine, but as soon as i try to copy to or write to a network folder, whether on another computer or on my NAS, my computer instantly freezes. I don't mean that explorer.exe stops responding, i mean FREEZES. I can't move the mouse, hit control+alt+delete, or anything. What else is strange is that this desktop has VMware running a virtual XP machine on it, and the virtual machine, which is sharing my wireless adapter, can copy files to network folders just fine. So its not a problem with my network in anyway, or my adapter, or my hard drive. Does anyone have any clue at all as to why i can't write files to ANY network folders while on vista 64?
