Need help finding network adapter driver for hp slimline s3700f windows vista 32bit

yes, but when I would install the driver I would get an error message saying that driver/hardware not found. Error log report states that
Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. The problem code is 31.

I see. The HP Support site says you have the Nvidia nForce Lan Controller, the same one I have. The file name: sp40864.exe [1/1, 1.82M]
When you install the driver are you logged in as an "Administrator?"
Do you turn off any Anti-virus and or Firewall before you Install the driver?
Have you verified that the Nvidia nForce Lan Controller has been turned on in the BIOS?

yes, I am logged in as administrator and check BIOS and Lan controller is on. But I did not turn off the firewall or antivirus. I'm going to try that and see if it works. Thanks for the help.

Because software like drivers makes changes to the system, sometimes AV causes problems with the installation as it is trying to protect the computer. So by turning AV off during the installation, the driver is able to successfully install.yes, I am logged in as administrator and check BIOS and Lan controller is on. But I did not turn off the firewall or antivirus. I'm going to try that and see if it works. Thanks for the help.
