It depends on what type of Vista installaion DVD you have, but this will show you how to with a Upgrade versionor Full version retail or retail OEM version.
If you have a OEM Recovery Vista installation DVD, then it will automatically format the hard drive during installation.
It's also ALLOT easier than it used to be too!
Pretty much all done or you and you just need to be able to follow the directions given during the process, and they're easily followed. About all you really need to be able to do is recognize which partition you want the OS installed onto, and then just follow the directions given by the install DVD or the OEM reinstallation disk.
Thanks alot,I got the format done,but the drivers for my eithernet conection didnt load,and i keep getting error messages when i try to update the drivers.
i foremated the hard drive and went back to windows xp
