Wasn't sure where to post this, so it gets put here. I am running Vista Ult 64bit. I have a custom computer that I built myself. It runs a 3.2ghz intel core duo, an nvidia geforce 7300 gt, and I recently added a 500gig seagate barracuda sata drive when I switched from x32 to x64. I ran it with no problems for about a month. An automatic update from microsoft installed the other day, and totally crashed my system. I loaded up my recovery disc, and restored with no difficulty. when i got the system back up and running, it was running extremely slowly, which it hadn't up to that point. I rebooted, and once the computer power cycled itself, it wouldn't reboot into windows. I tried once again to run the recovery disk, but it said that the version of the recovery disc wasn't compatible with that version of windows, and it wouldn't let me execute any restore options. After that, it wouldn't even pull up the recovery disc main menu, and about half the time since then, my computer hasn't been seeing my main hard drive(the new one). Please advise.
