Need help solving this error...

Looks like network is not working properly, I guess it is because I have disabled a couple of services on Vista ( my bad). Now, when Vista starts up I ma getting this error message:




On startup I get this popup (screenshot below). I guess it is related to the network problem!

Which shows again that it is not advisable to try to suboptimize the system. The significance of individual services and the dependencies are usually unknown to a layman. I always use the classic example of the snipping tool being dependent on the Tablet PC service - who would have thought.
To fix your problem, I would suggest you reenable all those services that you disabled before and reboot the system.

If you do not remember which Services you had changed, then you can do a System Restore using a restore point dated before you changed them to also restore them back to how they were set at the date of the restore point.

Depending on your service pack level, you can reset the services using the default services registry patches at this website: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Service Configurations by Black Viper
