I had problems with my Sony Vaio core 2 duo laptop running windows Vista home premium. I had to do a system restore. I backed up a drive image onto a seagate free agent drive. I don't recall if the image was done with the seagate disk Wizard or windows Vista. After the restore to the original factory settings I don't know how to restore the image. The seagate software lets me see the directories, however the file is not clearly labeled drive image. Given this is the first time I've done this I expected the Seagate restore to be a little more automatic. I just did the image 2 days ago so I'd prefer to not reload everything. I had to do a system restore today because I could not get past a new password installed on the laptop.
Any help would be appreciated.
I should add, when go to the system recovery page the only option is a system restore.
