Hey there..today I did a system restore back to the 8th of June. And well I had removed my Embarq Secruity Protection a few weeks ago...but since I did the system restore it was back. Anyways...when I unstall the program and when it restarts, the program is still there. I cant even delete it from the C drive, and when I right click on a file or folder I get about 4 error messeges all together once I hit ok. Its something like this,

c:\Program Files (x86)\Embarq Online Security 8/Common/fp...
Error loading resources for: file not found

Plz help me. :(

My Computer

Yes try that and if it doesn't work, then try my option

KK, everythings back to normal so far I think. Would you still recommend me running the CCleaner???

That's good to hear. Yes I would recommend the regular use of CCleaner to prevent your system from getting clogged up with un-needed temporary files.

Let's start with the system restore question, have you checked that you have selected the tick box when trying to do a system restore? The tick box that I am talking about, is something like "Show restore points from before 5 days ago"?

Before you do the following steps, please take note of what version of the .NET framework that you have installed (it will be in the installed programs list). Write this down or remember it, you may need it later.

And now to the .NET framework error, have you tried to reinstall or repair it yet?

If not, try repairing it by:

1. Open the start menu
2. Click on control panel
3. Select Programs and Features
4. Select Programs

Locate the .NET framework on that list and select uninstall, you will now be shown a dialogue box with a few options, firstly I want you to try repair

And if that fails, then try uninstall, and then download the same version that you had before.

You say that you are running AVG, firstly is this a legal copy? And secondly, is it the paid version or the free version?
