Multible Problems

Does anyone know how to close a com surrogate? Thats one problem, When trying to install an HP driver updates from there website. Half way through the installation it stops requesting that I need to close com surrogate.....Whats that? Second problem I believe my system has been invaded (I'm using Vista Premium 32bit) because I have lost permissions over lots of my operations for moving ,reading, deleting and editing some files! Same with some hardware issues. I can't disable some of my hardware such as com ports, blue thooth and ect. I read something on people taking over hardware to run their software such as Linux, Windows and Unix on other users machines. They have made it impossible to take over some permissions of files and hardware ect. Third problem I'm using an HP F768 WM Laptop to connect to a Linksys WRT54G V6 wireless gateway connected to a DSL modem. After connecting to the Linksys I open network and sharing center and along beside my WRT54G and my Laptop threre is another device pictured like a server. This device is a so called (Microsoft Publication host) Whats that? If anyone here knows anything that mayfix any or all these problems I would gladly apprieciate it.

My Computer

First off, Hi, Mickey, and welcome to the forums.

You might first and foremost try re-downloading the software from the HP site - it is possible tha you simply got a bad copy....
