This isn't necessarily Vista related but I saw some other posts that involved msn so I was thinking maybe someone here would be able to answer my question.
I was wondering about the "people-who-have-you-on-their-contact-list" list in the privacy settings of msn. See, I have a friend who I always chat with and it says that he does not have me on his contact list. Usually this would mean that the person in question (in this case, him) has deleted me from their msn. I originally thought he had deleted me too because he comes online MUCH less frequently lately. However, he has come online a few times and messaged me, so wouldn't this mean that he has not deleted me and that I am, in fact, still on his contact list? Because if I was not on his contact his, he would not be able to message me, right?
Is this just a glitch in the msn program or is it possible that he did remove me from his list and can still somehow message me? I have noticed this with a few other of my contacts as well. The thing is that, it seems to work fine with all my other contacts, and I tried testing it using another hotmail account to see if it works OK and it did. I added my first hotmail to the second hotmail's msn, and then hotmail #2 showed up on the list. Similarly, when i deleted #1 from #2's contacts, #2 disappeared from the people-who-have-you-on-their-contact-list list. So I don't understand what's happening in the situation of my friend and a couple of others.
I know this probably seems like a stupid post, but it's just something that's I've been wondering about for months so I was hoping someone could give me an informed answer. This way it will be settled once and for all! :D
