is there any solution yet to the annoying issue, that each definitions update there is restore point creation? how can i disable it?

Hallo prukeyhi, i dont think there is any way to stop it other than turning system restore off which would leave you with no back up (not a good idea)

If you want to reduce the amount of restore points then have a look at step 14 in this tutorial http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76073-disk-cleanup.html this will delete all but the most recent restore point.

You can also download CCleaner.
With this program, you can manage your system restore points individually.
Click left on Tools, and then System Restore.
Here you can remove any restore point individually.
