MS Outlook has stopped working

I have a strange problem. I'm running Vista Ultimate and Office 2007 apps. Outlook has been working fine for a long time. Now, when I exit Outlook, it seems to close normally, it does a final send/receive and the program closes. Then I get a pop up window that says: "MS Office Outlook has stopped working" Windows can check online.....

Outlook starts fine and everything seems to work. However, I have been having a problem syncing my Blackberry with Outlook. It tries to download contacts and stops. I haven't had this problem before I started seeing the Outlook error message. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure what the problem was. There was actually two problems occurring that I thought were related because they started about the same time. Outlook started throwing those 'Outlook stopped working' every time I exited the program and my Blackberry stopped being able to sync my contacts - it would get about 95% done and then fail. Most of the contacts were updated, but it would never finish.

I got rid of the Outlook failure message by reloading Office 12 --- ugly and brute force but I was sick of chasing the problem. However, my Blackberry still wouldn't sync. I tried everything; I cleared the contacts on the Blackberry and tried just loading from Outlook --about 95% would load and then sync would fail, I tried deleting a bunch of contacts that were old -- same thing, I tried reloading BB Desktop manager -- no joy. Then I noticed even when I cleared the BB contacts and loaded from Outlook it would fail with about 5 contacts not loaded. I did a comparison and deleted the unloaded contacts on Outlook. Problem solved.

The contacts I deleted always loaded before. My guess is that only one of them was somehow corrupted and that was what was hanging up the BB sync. What a PIA.:mad:

Microsoft office, Notepad, Wordpad and Microsoft Works Word stop working in Vista How Premium 32 bit on ACER laptop. It seem to be corrupted window files.
Solution: To fix it issue, I used the sfc /scannow command to repair the fixes. I received a message that some were not repair. See the following link to use the sfc command.

After using the sfc command, I used a registry repair program call RegCure to repair the registry. This fixed this issue. You can try this to see if it works for your particular windows and system.
