Moving Documents

Hi, is it safe to move the documents folder, to my partioned drive?, also can I move my user folder?

In addition to what Dwarf has said, it may be an idea to use a separate drive.
Moving documents from one partition to another does not achive much.
If you use a seperate drive then you can also use it as a backup medium.
Just my thoughts, personal choice.

Thanks Dwarf.. If I move the user folder, it has a lot of other folders in it, is it ok to move the user folder,with ALL the other folders, that are in it?

However, you could run into problems should the drive go offline for any reason or its drive letter gets changed if, for example, you make a new partition on your internal drive. For best results, this is really intended for use when you have a spare internal drive available. The best use for an external drive is as a backup medium, and for storing files which you have created/downloaded and which you don't want to lose.
