Hi melhoff13,

I am puzzled as to why you want AGP support. If it is for financial reasons, then choose a board with built-in graphics AND a PCIe slot. That way, you can upgrade when you can afford it. I haven't actually provided you with details of individual boards, but take a look at the following sites (links below). They contain reviews of various motherboards as well as other computer components. You should be able to find what you want there.

You would have a million choices except for the AGP preference. It might be a good time to jump on the PCIe bandwagon. I heard of some modern AGP boards a while back to ease people through the transistion.

After a lot of good experiences with MSI motherboards,
I chose an MSI, K9N-Platinum for my new system (about a year ago).
It's both XP and Vista compatible.

Why AGP (?), you may well ask. Well, it was cheap and if I have problems with my video card, I can stick in any of the dozen or more AGP boards that I've got laying around the shop, with NO appreciable down-time.:D

Another big selling feature for the MSI (jumperless) mobo, was the six SATA2 ports and the ample USB ports. It also has a bios that's very intuitive.

It also treats every port on my PC, including the flash card ports as bootable drives.

Well, that's just my personal favorite.:geek:
To each his own!
