Motherboard Failure

My HP Vista will need a new motherboard to be installed by an HPTech at my home,(under warranty).Is there any danger of losing any data(music downloads, photos, etc)and will the tech have access to view my personal/financial files?

he will need to boot up your system to check/install drivers , but thats it , he wont need to access any of your personal info at all :D

if its a like for like mobo Vista should boot no problems and all yuor files will be safe
