Missing Resolution

Hello all,

As of this morning, the resolution I've been running since I've bought my comp has gone missing. First noticed it when the icons on my desktop were reorganized, and loading up a game's log in screen came up smaller than normal.

Resolution is 1600x900, completely missing from the display settings menu, only 1440x900 and 1600x1200 are available.

Running an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card, and I made sure the drivers were up to date before posting here.

After hours of scouring google to know avail, this is my last hope before swapping to a different v-card.

Have you tried a System Restore to a point before the troubles?

I have, restored my system back to Feb 2nd (last update I believe), problem persists.

Try uninstalling the driver in Device Manager, and rebooting. Then let Windows automatically install a driver.

Done and done.

As it turns out, windows no longer supported that video card, after reinstalling the driver, it reverted back to default drivers off the mobo.

Turns out I had to swap v-cards after all. Now running an NVIDIA GTS 250, and I have my 16:9 resolution back.

Can't thank you enough Jonathan, this allowed me to see exactly what the problem was.
