MiniDump after BSOD

Hello,

could someone hint me, what this BOD reason could be?
Could it be the memory?

It is Windows Vista 64 Bit SP2 with 1 GB DDR2 and 2 GB DDR2 RAM on a Dell Inspiron 1545 Notebook.
After putting out the 2 GB RAM the machine is working but i want to be sure...

Here is the crash analysis from Windbg:

Hello Richard,
thank you for the hint. But it is not possible to provide more information, as it is not my system and i got only the minidump, sent per email.
So I analyzed it with windbg, that is the result.
Sorry to be inconvenient.

Kind regards, franc

This is the best that I can do:

STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory

Update graphics driver, update any other drivers that need to be updated and take memory test.

Download memtest86 and test RAM

www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
Run for 8 passes
If passes try a good stick in each slot for 3 passes
If fails do the same for 8 passes.

The choices are in no particular order. A subjective opinion is necessary for a paricular order. I do not have the information needed. All 3 suggestions are not too difficult, do them all.

But please tell me: why should a running system suddenly fail to BOD because of Graphics driver or other driver if no one changes the driver?
Does this happen?

My Computer

Yes this is very common. The BSOD happens due to conflict. For example, you may have played a game that was graphics intensive, too much for the outdated driver or even your card, hence a bsod. A bsod is just an analysis of a crash.

Based upon what you gave me, it can me a ram stick or even the Motherboard.
It can be as minor as a driver. You did not give me enough to go by. Simple testing will answer all your questions.

Yes. Till jet it is running without any BOD, like the friend told me.
With 1 GB RAM Stick and the other 2 GB RAM Stick out of board.
So it is very likely that it was the stick i guess.

EDIT: but i dont hear much of this friend. Could be different. He is in "Far Far Away"
