Microsoft Office!

Recently i downloaded microsoft office and i had a document that i wanted to open with this...but when i run it with microsoft word it doesnt open....

It may be a type of document that cannot be opened with MS Word. What is the file extension of the document you are trying to open?

You might try right-clicking on the document and selecting Open With, and selecting MS Word. If the document cannot be opened with Word, at least the error message box will give you that information, and then you will have to find the appropriate app with which to open the document.

Also, even with Word documents, there are many different file extensions, so you might try clicking "Save as" -- and when the "Save as" menu opens, in the "Save as type..." drop-down menu, select one of the choices that can be saved by MS Word. Then save the document as that type, and see if MS Word will then open it like any other Word document.
