You've got to be kidding!!! She'd have spent her $59.25 outlay for her XP downgrade, in a 59.25 second session with a Lawyer!:eek:
Her claim is sort of like being in the market for a Series 3 BMW, then demanding that the motor is replaced by a 1960s Mini Minor 4 cylinder engine, then suing BMW for not giving that option in the first place!!
Go figure......and shame on a Legal system that would accept and chase such a frivilous and mischievous sham claim! It beggars belief.

In America, we can sue for whatever we want. There is a reason they put "Caution: Hot" on fresh HOT cups of coffee. Some lady sued McDonalds because she spilled in on herself, and said she didn't think it would be that hot. *Smacks head* I want to sue her for being an idiot. Which I could...
On the other hand, I do agree with Alvarado's mentality with this. Microsoft is bullying people to pay more for the new OS. They could still sell XP, at a slightly lower (or the same or even higher) price, and offer it on all new computers as well. They would not lose any money, they would make more, and make people happy with them. It seems so simple, but no, they wont...

Just to quote a funny incident: It happened with Dell. A customer who purchased a laptop from Dell sued the company because he had burnt his expensive trousers while working on the laptop(happened due to overheating) , putting it on his lap. He argued that a DELL "LAPTOP" should not burn his "lap". DELL after this incident started selling off the laptops as DELL PORTABLES.

Exactly. There is a reason Hairdryers have warnings on them that say "Do Not Use While Sleeping" and "Do Not Use In The Bath/Shower". And why cups of hot liquid say "Cation: Hot" No joke. You would think it obvious though right?
