Microsoft has acquired Interactive Supercomputing (ISC), maker of the desktop parallel computing platform Star-P, for an undisclosed amount. The software giant confirmed the purchase of ICS's technology assets and announced that the team of industry-leading experts on parallel and high performance computing, including CEO Bill Blake, would be joining the Microsoft group at the New England Research & Development Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
